Wednesday 23 May 2018, 09:00am - 05:00pm

Location Sir Duncan Rice Library, Old Aberdeen

This event aims to encourage young or early career researchers from the local research community who use interesting statistical methods to meet and chat about their research and present their work to a friendly audience for constructive feedback. The long-term aim is to create a supportive community of practice. Researchers and students using more advanced statistical methods are welcome, although given the mixed disciplines, talks should not be overly technical with the emphasis on applied methods if possible.
The symposium will consist of short presentations and include opportunities for networking. There will be a prize of £50 in Amazon Vouchers for the best talk!
Confirmed plenary speaker – Dr Jen Rogers, Director of Statistical Consultancy Services, University of Oxford.
Submission of abstracts is open with a deadline of 1st March 2018. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
