About the event:

Launch event for the RSS Teaching Statistics SIG, the conference will discuss the teaching of statistics in higher education to statisticians and non-statisticians.

Speakers:

  • Dr Margaret MacDougall (University of Edinburgh)
  • Dr Charis Chanialidis (University of Glasgow) - Online distance learning in Data Analytics: Benefits, challenges, and suggestions
  • Dr Elke Thönnes (Warwick University) - Authentic learning and assessment in applied statistics
  • Dr Paul Northrop  (University College London) - Connecting Students with Statistical Research

There will be opportunities for discussion in panel sessions and over refreshments.
