About the event:

Spatiotemporal data analysis is an emerging research area due to the development and application of novel computational techniques allowing for the analysis of large spatiotemporal databases. Spatiotemporal models arise when data are collected across time as well as space and has at least one spatial and one temporal property. An event in a spatiotemporal dataset describes a spatial and temporal phenomenon that exists at a certain time t and location x

The meeting will showcase the analysis of large spatiotemporal databases using ArcGIS and R softwares.  

We welcome confirmed speakers Dr Tolulope Osayomi from Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and Dr G. A. Dawodu from Department of Statistics, College of Physical Sciences, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. 


 This meeting is funded by Royal Statistical Society, London, England in collaboration with the Department of Statistics, College of Physical Sciences, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

 

Attendance is free and open to all, whether fellows of the RSS or not, but pre-registration is required.
