Download a text version of Lord O'Donnell's speech

Lord O’Donnell is the former Cabinet Secretary, a position he held until 2011, serving three prime ministers. He is currently chair of Frontier Economics and has a number of non-executive advisory roles including fellow at the Institute of Government, chair of the Commission on Wellbeing, Legatum Institute and senior fellow at the Civil Service College, Singapore. Lord O’Donnell is therefore very well placed to talk about the role of evidence in the policy-making process.

The evening will be chaired by RSS Past President and National Statistician John Pullinger.

Sponsored by SAGE, a leading independent academic and professional publisher.

The event will be followed by a reception.
