About the Event:

Polls are usually the best guide to future election outcomes, but how good a guide have they been? This talk addresses that question, and considers how changes in polling methodology since the 1950s have influenced their performance.


6.00pm to 7.00pm: Authors’ presentation
7.00pm to 7.30pm: Q&A
Attendance is free and open to all, whether fellows of the RSS or not, but pre-registration is required.

Refreshments: tea, coffee and biscuits will be available from 5.30pm.
