About the event:

The RSS Nigeria Local Group is hosting a career talk for secondary school students.

Confirmed speakers for this event include Professor O. I. Shittu (Department of Statistics, University of Ibadan) and Professor Kayode Ayinde (Department of Statistics, Federal University of Technology).

The career talk will include discussions by Professor Kayode Ayinde on the discipline called statistics and its relationship with mathematics, social science, medicine, law, agriculture etc.  

Professor Shittu will talk about the uses of statistics by individuals, businesses, researchers, government and the international community. Statisticians are one of the highest paid people in the world today and we will share the career prospects and opportunities for qualified statisticians. 

This event is organised in collaboration with the Professional Statisticians Society of Nigeria.
