From Monday 05 September 2016
To Thursday 08 September 2016

Location University of Manchester

The RSS conference provides a unique opportunity for anyone interested in data analysis and statistics to come together to share information and network.

Whatever your experience, field of expertise or background, the RSS conference provides an open forum to exchange knowledge and experiences, whether in the formal conference sessions or in the many networking opportunities at refreshment breaks and evening social events.

The conference regularly attracts over 450 participants from all over the world, ranging from senior academic statisticians through to new graduates and postgraduate students, with strong representation from the public sector as well as statisticians and data scientists working in industry or as independent consultants. There is also a growing group of people who have an interest in statistics but who don’t work in the field.

The conference is popular to such a diverse audience because it offers a broad and varied programme of talks and workshops not found in any other UK based statistical conference.

The 2016 programme will include keynote talks from Christl Donnelly (Imperial College London), Anne Glover (former Chief Scientific Adviser, European Commission) and Xiao-Li Meng (Harvard University).

For more information on the session streams and on submitting an abstract (deadline 31 March for talks) please visit the website below.
