Hours : Full Time (Job share considered)
Salary: £44,674 - £52,701 per annum plus a market supplement of £7,000 per annum (inclusive of London allowance)
Duties and Responsibilities
To conduct original research and contribute collegially to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Statistical Science. Research may be in any branch(es) of statistics or applied probability, although applicants with expertise in statistical data science or in finance / econometrics will be especially welcome.
The posts are open ended and are available immediately.
Candidates should hold a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in statistics or a closely related field. It is essential that the successful candidates have a proven record of ability to carry out high quality research in a branch of probability or statistics, including publications in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals; the ability to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the department and excellent communication skills.
UCL operates a Relocation Scheme for newly appointed academic staff who relocate their home to take up their appointment. This includes a relocation supplement of £10,000 (£20,000 for those relocating from outside the UK). The department will also provide a start-up fund of £6,000 available for the duration of the probation period.
