The successful applicant will join Professor Sasieni’s Cancer Prevention Group at KCL. The postholder will be a statistician with a strong interest in epidemiology. The post is funded from a Cancer Research UK programme grant focusing on cancer screening and statistics. The postholder will, in particular, work with studies evaluating existing screening programmes and in the analysis of other research on HPV related cancers. The Cancer Prevention Group is part of the School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences based at the Guy’s Campus.

The appointment will be at grade 6. The appointee will have a PhD in applied statistics, or equivalent experience of conducting collaborative health research. Familiarity with statistical software packages such as STATA and/or R is essential as is competence in standard medical statistics. The successful candidate will be motivated and self-disciplined, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
