RSS seeks volunteers for journalist statistics workshops

Written by Web News Editor on . Posted in Latest call-outs to members

The Royal Statistical Society is recruiting volunteer speakers with statistics backgrounds to deliver training to students and emerging journalists in the basics of statistical reporting for its Science Journalism Programme. The initiative is part of the RSS Science Journalism Programme funded by BIS (the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills).

If you are a member of RSS, your volunteering activity can be used to count towards your annual statement of CPD activity; you can also receive a signed reference of your participation, which can be included as supporting evidence for your CPD portfolio.

Further information on what's involved, plus testimonials from those who've already participated, can be found here.
