Delivering statistical training to MPs

Written by Web News Editor on . Posted in Latest call-outs to members

Would you like your MP to be more statistically literate? Well, now is your chance to help make that happen!

The RSS is developing ideas for one or more courses on understanding numerical evidence and statistics, which it intends to offer to Members of Parliament to book and arrange at a time of mutual convenience.

Courses would last up to half a day, or could consist of a beginners and an advanced course over two separate half-days. The course topics would be in the area of scrutiny skills, including dealing with evidence and statistics.

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably-qualified fellows to work with us to develop the ideas. Experience in training and understanding of policy is required.

If you are interested in getting involved in the programme, please send a CV to This email address is being protected from spambots.
