University of Southampton and ONS collaborative programme: modules for 2015

The Professional Development in Official Statistics Programme, a unique collaboration from the University of Southampton and the UK Office for National Statistics, is designed to provide specialist knowledge central to statistical work within government or other agencies carrying out large-scale statistical work. Through part-time study, the course enables postgraduate students to strengthen and update their professional skills and knowledge. The programme offers a certificate, diploma or MSc in Official Statistics from the University of Southampton as well as ‘one-off’ CPD modules.

The modules, run at the University of Southampton, for the 2014-2015 academic year are:

Regression Modelling, 26-30 January

Multilevel Approaches to the Analysis of Repeated Measures Data, 9-13 February

Time Series Analysis, 23-27 February  

Demographic Methods II, 9-13 March

Index Numbers, 23-27 March

Statistical Disclosure Control, 13-17 April

Elements of Official Statistics, 27 April - 1 May
