Nominations sought for Kavli Education Medal and lecture award

The Royal Society is seeking nominations for its Kavli Education Medal and lecture award.

The Kavli Education Medal is awarded biennially (in even years) for 'an individual who has made a significant impact on science or mathematics education within the UK'. The recipient also delivers a lecture either at a specialist scientific or educational meeting or for the general public as appropriate. The medal is of bronze gilt and is accompanied by a gift of £1,000.

Nominations are now open and the closing date is 1 February 2016. Previous winners include Celia Hoyles, Margaret Brown and John Holman.
