Keen to promote good statistical practice in the media? The ongoing success of our Statistical Excellence in Journalism Awards means that this year, we are looking for more fellows to help us judge the Excellence in Journalism awards.
Candidates don't need to be a CStat or even a GradStat (although these are very welcome too); what is important is enthusiasm and an interest in the way in which statistics is communicated. Judging will take place March and April and the commitment is likely to be a few hours of reading articles or watching/listening to excerpts and scoring them.
Please note the categories for entries are as follows:
- Regional journalism
- Investigative journalism
- Explaining the facts
- Data visualisation
More details about the awards can be found on our main website.
