RS/BA joint project on educational research - call for views

Written by Web News Editor on . Posted in Latest call-outs to members

A jointly led project by the British Academy and Royal Society will investigate the opportunities and challenges for teachers, researchers and policy-makers at a time when the demand for educational research is growing yet the research capacity appears to be shrinking. It will ask how we create optimal conditions for high quality research to transform education in the UK, and how we could ensure that research informs and is informed by policy and practice.

The two organisations are calling for a wide range of bodies including educational researchers, university management, funders, government and its agencies, teachers, school and college leaders, and teacher trainers, subject associations to get involved.

A call for Views (DOC) has also been launched which welcomes evidence from anyone who works with educational research, who manages or who is a user of educational research.
