LMS seeks Success Stories in Mathematics

Written by Web News Editor on . Posted in Latest call-outs to members

The London Mathematical Society is seeking case studies for its Success Stories in Mathematics initiative, which aims to collect photos and stories from a wide range of people involved in a wide range of mathematical careers, including careers in statistics and OR. The photos and stories collected will be used to produce both online and print resources to promote the types of careers open to mathematicians.

Profiles of graduates (of BSc, MSc or PhD courses) across the spectrum of mathematical careers are welcomed; the LMS is particularly interested in hearing from graduates working in industry. Participants are encouraged to talk about what they like about what they do, how they have got to where they are, what they aspire to, their life outside mathematics and anything they are proud of.

If you are interested in taking part in this initiative, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further details and you'll be sent a form which can be filled out and returned along with a photograph of yourself.

UPDATE 3 July 2018: The Success Stories have been published on the LMS website.
