The inquiry is being undertaken by the cross-party Public Administration & Constitutional Affairs Select Committee (PACAC), which has asked for evidence to be received by 1 February.

The RSS National Statistics Advisory Group (NSAG) is starting to compile a submission to the Committee, on behalf of the Society. A number of fellows have also indicated their desire to contribute to the inquiry in a personal, non-RSS capacity, or on behalf of the institution where they work.

Further information and the inquiry, including its full terms of reference, can be seen via the PACAC website.
