The 181st annual general meeting of the Royal Statistical Society will be held at the Society's headquarters, 12 Errol Street, London EC1Y 8LX on Wednesday 24 June 2015 at 5pm (tea and coffee will be available from 4.30pm), by order of the Council.
- Minutes of the previous annual general meeting
- Report of Council for the 2014 session
- Financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2014 and the report of the honorary treasurer (download a PDF of the 2014 annual report and accounts).
To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution:
'That, as from 1 January 2016, the basic subscription, as defined in bye-law 1(c), shall be £132 per annum and the additional subscription as defined in bye-law 1(a) shall be £52 per annum.'
Consideration of the proposed change to the bye-law 52
The Society seeks to amend Bye-law 52 which currently states: ‘An Annual General Meeting shall be called for a date in June or July of each year at such time and place as the Council shall direct.’
It is proposed that this bye-law change to: ‘An Annual General Meeting shall be held by the end of September each year at such time and place as the Council shall direct’
Council has proposed this change to give the RSS the flexibility to hold the AGM at the RSS conference. We would like to be able to trial this and see if it may engage more people than the current format.
- Election of the auditor for 2016.
